What I do is create artistic jewellery. My inspiration comes from emotions and nature. Organic, imperfections, simplicity, assymetries, lightness are characteristic of my work.
I instill my pieces and their wrappings with Portuguse poetry or with a thought that appeared when making it.
Ornamentation ia an ancient ritual. Why not rediscover it by transforming these roots...

Value the little nothing of nature and to warn the urgency of conservation and contemplation

Using raw materials, recycled whenever possible*

Incorporate into pieces, beads from the Trade Fair*

Disclose the poetry of Portuguese authors

Unique and handmade pieces

This way, I would like every piece purchased, can provide joy, lightness, identity to whom uses them. I also would like to stimulate people's curiosity and sensitivity and thus contribute to the possibility of looking and understanding things and reality from different points of view.

* depending on market availability

Paula Castro

Porto is my city: where I was born and where I like to live. Mountains... is something from my deep soul and where I like to feel myself.
Art, aesthetic, sensitivity to what is around me, always were present feeding my spirit.
My passion towards the contemporary and author jewellery has made my sensitivity into shapes and specially working with “little nothings” from nature or other simple elements.
I have learned that the way to mountains could offer me much more than trekking, contemplation, fantastic findings and reflection time…..
